Sorry that it's been a tad quiet on the Western front, its been a full on month with the paid employment which has left little to no time for what really matters in life... sewing and creating!
Thankfully it is all leveling out a little now and there has been some time for creating, and a little weekend excitement. The perks of living rural is that we still have the traditional town fairs, and the Gresford Show has been on our families social calendar since we moved. This is our first year as competitors and I am proud to say that Cake & Ale won first place for handmade patchwork article, and on a personal note my girls won a first and third ribbon too for their craft entries!
It was "The Crown" pattern that was submitted, but if you look at the image below you may notice something new and in the works.
