Lindenhof (notions) House was inspired by a house shaped sewing box gifted to my Nan sometime in the 60's. I have never seen anything quite like it since. While Lindenhof House is not exactly the same, years of having it in the studio has certainly inspired this project.

It has been designed with the essential sewing kit in mind. One side has a set of narrow internal compartments that are perfect for small notions like needles, thread snips, mini hera markers and small spools of thread. The other side has been sized to hold large spools of thread (even a Perle 8 bobbin), is excellent at holding EPP pieces that you are sewing or create a pincushion cubby.

This construction is ROBUST, and as the lid is snug to the house section, it will stay on even if you drop it. Yes, I have tested this out... all of the internal compartments reinforce the outer shape and make it incredibly sturdy.

After having this on my desk for a few weeks I stumbled across a secondary function, stationery! I am obsessed with mini highlighters and this house makes a perfect way to keep them all organised and where I need them. The larger side is also serendipitously sized to hold a selection of "fun sized" confections... and with the lid the kids are none the wiser.

*** FAQ's ***

Do you I need a laminator?
No you don't, this is just a technique you can use if your printer does not like printing on card stock (like mine).

What weight card stock is best?
If you can print on card we recommend that a stock 220GSM - 250GSM be used, it needs enough bulk to hold the sides up but you also need to work within your own comfort zone.

Do I really leave the papers in?

YES!! Unlike traditional EPP our card stock templates stay in permanently. This is what creates, and holds the structure of our unique patterns together.
