Things not to do in summer

I have this bad habit of getting to the quilting phase of my larger projects right in the peak of the Aussie summer... sitting with a queen sized quilt parked in your lap can get a little hot and bothersome! It is lovely though to take an afternoon off just to stitch... busy hands make a calm head for me. It will be great to have this particular project finished, not just to have another quilt kicking around, but because my next major project will be a Cake & Ale original design!

Sadly it is taking away time from prepping the next two mini projects that are finish in R&D and need to be written up! The basting templates do take me a little while to draw up.
