Christmas Cheer - Ornament Bundle Time!

2026 has been the "year of the bundle" as far as Cake & Ale is concerned! Three epic bundles in the past four months, and I love that I get to see the year out with this motley crew. I have a super soft and squish part of my hart reserved for the good-est of "Good Eggs", Nic and Lauren who run these awesome bundles. Nic (Craftapalooza) "discovered" me after my very first magazine project in Make Modern Magazine and took a punt that I may be fun to work with on a bundle. Bold move inviting someone with 341 Insta followers into an affiliate promotion, but here we are - 3 years later and still playing nice together so I must have done something right! Lauren (Molly and Mama) is an incredible designer, and such a warm person. Like I said, these two are some of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure of collabing with.

Makers Bundles Christmas Cheer

I am loving what is on offer this bundle, and that coming from someone who (in years past) was vehemently opposed to all festive decor. Working retail at a craft store... it killed the love of all things festive for a VERY long time.

With bundles like this I have two main questions; who and what.

Who being, which designers are playing nice to bring us this bundle. Rapidly followed by, and what have they designed for me?! Those of you on the mailing list will know some of very cool people making nice this Christmas, and I will pop their details below!

Little Christmas

Ric Rac: A Christmas felt collection featuring two felt bear patterns plus matching hats, sweaters, hair bow, felt wagon and stick hobby horse.

Sugar Tote

A Spoonful of Sugar Designs: A miniature tote designed for joyful gifting, celebrating advent or holding sweet little surprises.

Christmas Cardinal Ornament

Quiet Play: Festive ornament design featuring a foundation paper pieced cardinal bird with a cosy scarf.

Festive Jumpers

Nelly Makes Embroidery: Two felt sweater ornament designs featuring decorative stitching, metallic thread and embellishment with sequins.

Dala Dinos

Wild Olive by Mollie Johanson: Four felt dinosaur ornaments inspired by traditional Scandinavian Dala horses.

Merry Mini Stockings

Alderwood Studio: Sweet mini stockings with modern foundation paper pieced blocks to adorn the front.

The Noel System and Deck the Halls Wreath

Cake & Ale: Two patterns including a clever geometric 3D English paper pieced wreath design and hanging ornaments.

Tommy Pinnie

Craftapalooza Designs: A vintage inspired tomato pincushion and miniature ornament pattern.

Sugar Plum Fairy Ornament

Molly and Mama: A hand stitched felt keepsake ornament inspired by The Nutcracker, and embellished with sequins and beads.

Yes, I did just cut and paste that off the Makers Bundles blog... excitingly the links pasted over too so you can check out all of their goodies!! Winning.

Makers Bundles Christmas Cheer

Personally I am most excited for a Christmas Dino ornament, and a little jealous that I didn't think of that!!! For my offerings (yeah, Cass double dipped - long story) we have my Deck the Halls wreath and my Noel System. Fun fact the wreath originally designed for last years bundle, sadly that bundle didn't go ahead so it is nice to have it included this year. But the custom make for this project - my "Noel System" which, in true Cass style, are pretty geometric. Clearly I have a vibe.

I call it a system because it really is just that, a system. You may see five ornaments in the picture, but they were all made from the same two templates. Noel is for ornaments what the IVAR system is for storage. (I LOVE the IVAR system, no shade thrown IKEA I promise). So if you want to learn the secrets to the never ending ornament pattern you will need to buy a bundle!
