Starfall - August Show & Tell
Please forgive me Dear Reader for being so late with this months SAL update. Truth be told everyone was ready on time (even me), I have just been so singularly focused on the upcoming Quilt NSW show that I have had capacity for little else. Just ask the kids, I don't think they have seen me for weeks. With the bulk of the logistics sorted my mind keeps reminding me of all the things I have let slide this month. That, and I have cleared enough physical space in my studio that my mind is feeling MUCH clearer. As a result I am now up for tackling the massive list of tasks that has been on hold! First and foremost is the August Starfall update. Now there isn't much to show this month, just Nicole and I chipping away at our enormous quilts. Or soon to be quilts, and without further delay; here is Nicole's galaxy.

I absolutely love Nicole's dedication to "problematic" curved stars and fussy cutting! How can you go past the gorgeous sea side inspired star with the tiny red crabs, LOVE. I also love how well pressed every star is, more than half on mine haven't seen an iron and it shows... whoops.

Man August was a busy month. There was: one of my sisters birthdays, the completion of the 52 fussy cut stars for the one a week Starfall Quilt, the roof and removable tray from the Dotti's Castle SAL being made, my Alex's book week, the Mister and I celebrating 17 years married, two versions of my new Seraphel bowl being prototyped, my youngest making it to regional's for athletics aannnddd the new star being perfected for October. Super, super busy month. And I love how it all comes back to me when looking at these stars.
With that brief info dump I am off and running. I have to finish packing template kits into my wagon so I can leave bright and early for the Sydney show! Wish me luck!!! Cass xx
