And just like that, we have reached the half way point of our sew-along!

It's been a journey, a lesson, but also a lot of fun. I can tell its gotten a hard for some to manage the time demands of; but one participant shines through. Not only for her gorgeous makes, but for her dedication and consistency. She of course, is the lovely Nicole!

Nicole's Starfall Stars - June 2026

I always look forward to seeing the mix of stars Nicole uses, mainly because she uses a lot of the smaller, fiddlier variations that I don't have the patience for right now! I am so excited to see this become a quilt.

Nikki's second sleeve!

WE HAVE A SECOND SLEEVE! I am so invested in this coat, its going to be incredible. Also sneaky gossip, Nikki may have just designed her own fabric range. So we can forgive her for not having magically whipped up the whole coat in time for the Southern Hemisphere winter.

Back on the fabric range, you will know more about this once strike offs are in!

Cass's June Starfall Stars

So there are a few key moments immortalised here. My biggest sisters birthday... 47th?? Unsure about how many candles there were on that cake. Sadly she lives on the extreme opposite side of Australia to me, so no in person cake was had.

There are also three stars proudly wearing the strike offs from my "SPOT" range!! Can you see them?? Hint; two are next to each other. For a range I wasn't completly sold on, I love it so much. It's been really hard not to put it in aaallll the stars.

I also know I promised you an update on the BOW Starfall I am working on. Good news / bad news situation. I have managed to make a few more, I am nearly through all the feature stars even! Bad news, I forgot to take a photo and I am too knackered to take a stack shot... next month. Promises.

I have been feeling a little overwhelmed with the work load of all of this lately, so I decided it was time to take another progress shot. Nothing gets me more enthused about a project that seeing how far it has come.

So we have an interesting measuring method... my youngest child. Incidentally she is the most invest child in terms of choosing fabrics for the days stars. So at present, the quilt is one 11yo wide, and nearly 2x 11yo's tall.

Apologies for the short update this month, I feel like my brain is mashed pumpkin. It's been over a month since I last had a day off and am averaging 50 hours work a week.... its been a lot! All worth it in the end, I have a lot of exciting news to share between now and years end. I love and appreciate you all, more updates next month I promise. Actually, as a bit of a post script! I know for a fact that the lovely Michelle @strawberriesandbobbins has been creating more of the gorgeous Ruby Star Starfall stars, very excited to share that all next month. Maybe, just maybe Lee @quarteracreblock will have an assembly update for us as well! Cass xx
